It all begins with Jesus

Opening Prayer: Thank you Jesus that it all begins with you. I still my heart, awaiting your Spirit to rest upon me creating peace and refreshing in my soul. Come now and guide me throughout my day.
Amen
Bible Verse – Ephesians 3:16, 17a (NLT)
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.”
Reflection – Can you receive the wonderful resources of His Spirit’s strength?
What do you need to set aside to make room for Him?
Whatever you face now and as the day unfolds, draw near to Jesus. He’s near you now. Can you ‘see’ his home in your heart?
Perhaps you’re a little distracted at the moment or feeling overwhelmed. So tired that praying is hard, you just fall asleep. And when you read the Bible you can find verses for preaching, but verses seem dry and empty when seeking God for yourself.
Sometimes as Pastors and leaders it’s hard to make room for Jesus for ourselves. We can be so busy ministering to others, it feels like there’s nothing left for us.
But, as we prepare the way for Jesus in our heart’s, the roots go down deep into our lives and keep us strong.
The foundations go deep as we surrender and pray.
Closing Prayer – Thank you Lord Jesus that as I’ve drawn near to you, I receive your love, your grace, your strength from your unlimited resources.
I surrender myself afresh to you today.
Amen
