Our life hidden in Christ

15th September 2025

Intro:
I had the joy of a person sharing a prophetic word with me after preaching in a very large church. They said they saw my life hidden behind a shining cross. Our life is hidden in Christ, isn’t it?

Opening Prayer:
Coming near to you today, Heavenly Father, thank you for welcoming me into your loving arms. In your presence my life changes.

Thank you mighty King, sovereign God.

Bible verse –
“Since you have been raised to a new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Reflection –
It’s life changing to focus differently isn’t it?
Instead of focusing upon our problems, weaknesses or challenges, we can focus on the Lord. When we focus on heaven, life changes.

Jesus is my life. My life is found in him. My life has been renewed by him. It’s so exciting that our real life is hidden with Christ in God. Our real life, the one we’re living for eternity, comes from our identity as a child of God. You and I are sons or daughters of the King of all creation. And he created you and me. He’s my Father and yours. That changes everything for us, doesn’t it?

We have the promise of heaven. So much to look forward to in his presence. Meanwhile, he strengthens us on this life journey always beside us always ready to guide us.

Give over your burdens and troubles to him today. Let him embrace you. Let him speak to you of your value to him just for who you are, not for what you do for him. Just for who you are.

Prayer –
Thank you God that everything changes when I look towards heaven. When I realise that I’m a spirit created by God within a body who has a soul and mind and when that soul is filled with God and the mind focussed on him, my life is renewed. You are my God. I set my sights on you Lord. My new life in you starts again today Lord. Thank you Creator God.

Amen
