Worship opens our hearts to Jesus and His wisdom
Intro:
Where are you right now in your journey with Jesus? Filled with love and adoration? Or exhausted and it’s hard to pray, read the Bible and hear from Him. Wherever you are, today’s devotion unlocks a secret that millions have discovered:
“Worship opens our hearts to Jesus and His wisdom.”
Opening Prayer:
Another day begins with you, Jesus. I’m excited about today, Lord. You’ve been working deep within my heart. And today I’m beginning to have hope again. I’m beginning to sense your presence again, Holy Spirit. And I’m beginning to hear your voice again, Lord. Thank you for being near to me today.
Bible verse –
“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.”
Colossians 3:16-17 NLT
Reflection –
This is God’s call again to us isn’t it? From our place of prayer to our service for him leading God’s people, it all comes from the work of the grace of God within our hearts. The message of His grace fills our lives with wisdom.
The Gospel fills our hearts again. Then we can teach and counsel those around us with wisdom. Remember to have others doing that in your life too; people that are walking alongside you guiding you in your life.
Flowing from this worship naturally fills our hearts.
Take a moment to praise and worship Jesus this morning. Maybe put on a worship song that is meaningful to you.
Listen to what the Holy Spirit says to you. And walk afresh with him doing everything you do led by His Spirit for his glory.
Prayer –
I stand in awe of you this morning Lord. You’ve changed me. You’ve made me whole. You are such an amazing God. Your grace fills me. Your Spirit renews me Lord. Thank you God for your nearness and your love again, and again. I bow before you, Lord surrendering afresh to you. Thank you Jesus.
Amen.
